And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
There isn’t any issue, or bad habit that takes God by surprise. He knows your daily life’s struggles. He hears your sincere prayers for help, and sees how much you desire to be rescued. He sees how much you struggle to make it right on your own and how you have failed severally. You are not the first and not alone.
Apostle Paul had a situation that made him pray three times with the expectation that the Lord, will make it depart from him, in the preceding verse.
He had done all things humanly and spiritually possible to communicate his desire to the Lord however, God revealed something very important to him as He is revealing to you now.
“Not by might, not by power but by my spirit says the Lord.” This is the spirit of grace hallelujah! It’s not by works, neither is by how much you know how to pray, it’s not by any sacrifice but by depending, relying, and trusting on the grace of God. The grace of God is the power to overcome addictions, and any kind of bad habits.
Full dependence on the grace of God is you saying “ Lord you are able to fix me without my input.” Scripture says, ”we are saved by grace and not by works otherwise we will boast.”
The Lord is saying to you now, “My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and will enable you come out of any habits that’s a setback for you.”
He says, “My strength and power are made perfect, fulfilled and completed, and will show themselves most effective in your weakness. Glory to God!
The grace of God is able to save you from whatever it is. Stop fighting yourself, stop condemning and hating yourself; allow the power of God that comes through His grace ward it off for you. Let grace find full expression in your weakness and you will be glad you did.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for your sufficient grace that is enough for me.
Thank you for opening my eyes to see your sufficient grace, available to me.
As I trust you, I receive the expression of the power of your grace in every area of my life. I declare I am free from every limitation, addiction, sickness, fear and troubles. Thank you Father for in Jesus name I have declared, Amen.
