When Jesus prayed, he prayed for the lost, for those in bondage, for those sick, for those in need, helpless, weak, the abused, the discouraged and the wrongly accused.
He made prayers of intercessions and supplications for all men, and He worshipped, and He gave thanks. Like we saw in yesterdays digest, Prayer in the Greek, “proseuchomai” means to make supplications and to worship.
To worship is to yield to the Lordship of the Father. It’s to completely yield our will, our thoughts, visions, aspirations, ambitions, desires, goals, and destinies to the perfect will of God. When we completely yield, the Father by His Spirit, perfectly harmonizes His plans for our lives so we can gloriously fulfill our ordained destinies. Praise God!
To worship is to give adoration. To adore means to show respect, to reverence, to show strong admiration, to give homage and to show love to the Father and champion of our salvation. Glory to God.
Jesus made this kind of prayer when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane. He fell face down (He took the Posture of worship) and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible [that is, consistent with Your will], let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.””
Matthew 26:39 AMP
Jesus said if it is consistent with the will of the father. He would have wanted that the cup pass over. At this moment, Jesus was deeply sorrowful knowing what was about to befall him nevertheless, He yielded to the will of the father: he said, Let thine will be done.”
When you pray, you should worship; you should yield to His voice and directions for your life, and you should intercede for all men, for this is the will of God “that all men be saved,” and you should give thanks.
This you must consistently do: not momentarily, but persistently with full devotion.
Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, I adore your greatness and graciousness. I worship you for you are good and your will is perfect for me. I yield my members to you. Completely align my thoughts, desires, ambitions, and will to yours oh God. I trust in you and I praise you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
