Scripture says the born again was created in Christ Jesus, for good works. Good works can be seen in your actions and by the words you speak. Your actions are guided by your thoughts. What you have in your heart when fully digested, forms into words and then follows your actions, backing your words.
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart produces good. A good man is honourable and upright in his ways, he eschews evil thoughts, evil words and evil deeds. In likewise manner, an evil man also produces evil out of the evil treasure of his heart. They delight in creating havoc and seeing people destroyed.
Notice that they both have treasury in their hearts but with different treasures, stored in them. The good man has good treasures while the evil, has evil treasures. No one can see the content of your heart by merely looking at you, however they can see it when you respond, act, or speak.
Your words are seeds, which produces in you the tree of life. Your words are spiritual medicine which can bring healing to your body and also to your hearers. Your words can also be destructive missiles with the ability to destroy.
Good or evil, is a product of your content in your treasury. What do you have inside of you? Is the word of God a treasure to you?
The psalmist said, “Thy word have I hide in my heart that I may not sin against you”. Psalm 119:11.
Store the word of God in your heart, treasure it, and allow your life to by influenced by it. If you treasure the word of God, it will cause you to produce good fruits. It will lead you on the paths of righteousness, empower you for good deeds, and make your life attractive. Praise the Lord.
I declare, the word of God is stored in my heart. I have godly thoughts, and I speak wholesome words. By words, peace, grace, love, compassion and healings are released. My word is a tree of life; it gives life to every dead situation both within and outside of me.
I am a good tree and I produce good fruits. Hallelujah!
