I remember when I was in primary school and we were being flogged for not paying our school fees in a timely manner as it was the norm back in those days. It was so painful because after being flogged, those of us who hadn’t paid the fees were asked to go home.
On one of those occasions, I remember my guardian telling me, “I will go with you and you will not be flogged.” That was an assurance! I knew if she was with me, she’d advocate on my behalf since it wasn’t entirely my fault, payment was coming late and as result, I wasn’t humiliated that days.
In verse 15, Gideon asked the Lord, “how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” And the Lord answered, “But I will be with you” and you shall strike your enemies as one man”. Glory to God!
What is that situation before you?
What is that battle you think you have no chance of winning?
God says, “I will be with you and you shall triumph as one man__ for greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.
Stop looking at your deficiencies or inabilities, trust in the assurance of God.
This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
Have faith in His word. Has he said He will be with you? Has He said He will never live you nor forsake you? Trust His words, it has never, and can never fail.
As one man, you have overcome this world. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION:
I trust in the word of the Lord, I refuse to look at what is not my reality, but to look at what is, by the word of God. As one man, I will do mighty things. As one man, I have overcome the world. Glory to God.
