Corporate prayer is praying in a group. Peter was imprisoned by King Herod after he saw that the killing of James pleased the people. His intention was to kill Peter also after the Easter celebration.
The church seeing that if nothing was done, Peter was also going to be killed, prayed to God.
When they corporately prayed, the Lord sent His angel to rescue Peter from the prison. Hallelujah!
There is tremendous power available when we pray corporately because, it’s a symbol of unity and agreement. Scripture says in Matthew 18:19-20, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” The power of agreement can never be broken.
Corporate prayer brings a sense of unity and community to you and fellow believers.
This is the kind of prayer you experience when you attend a church service, or church group meetings.
You can also engage in corporate prayers with fellow believers or family members.
Don’t miss church prayer meetings as it also helps strengthen your faith as you will be positively influenced by other praying believers. Praise God!
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the privilege of being a part of a Church Family. I join my faith with my local assembly to call those things that be not, as though they were in my nation, my family, and in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
