I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Intercession is the act of praying on behalf of another person or group of people. The Lord wants us to offer prayers of intercession for all men and to put if first place. This is the prayer you never stop praying until you see the manifestation in the life of the one you are praying for.
When a brother or a sister tells you about their challenges, instead of going about telling others about it, pray on their behalf. Remember them in your prayer time, and affirm the word of God over their lives. The one who prays for others will not slander, or gossip them. You will see it as your responsibility to see the goodness of God in their lives manifest. Hallelujah!
When we pray for the well-being of others we are interceding on their behalf.
There are many examples of this kind of prayer throughout the Bible, but a clear one is Daniel 9:1-27. In this passage, Daniel goes to the Lord and intercedes on behalf of his people. We can also do this in our lives.
Jesus also made this same prayer for Peter in Luke 22:32-34 and for the disciples in John 17:1-26. The prayer of intercession is a product of the love of God inside of you.
Don’t be focused on your needs, pray for others, pray for those in authority. Stop badmouthing your leaders, pray for them. The bad leader is only bad because the evil one is prevailing over them. If you can intercede on their behalf, God is able to effect a change in their lives, causing them to become good leaders simply because you prayed.
Pray for your spiritual leaders also; your pastors and all pastoral team members, so they too can proclaim the word of God with boldness, and with signs following. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, I intercede for all men in my city. I pray that those who are not saved receive salvation today. I pray for the peace of my nation and for your blessings of boldness over my pastor, and his team. May they be delivered from the eyes of wicked, and unreasonable men. Amen. Hallelujah!
