But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:12-13 KJV
Power in the Greek is exousia (ex-oo-see’-ah) which means a sense of ability; privilege, a force, capacity, competency, freedom. It also means a delegated influence: – authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength.
As a son of God, you function in the power and authority of God to speak on His behalf, and to live like Him. You became a son of God when you believed in Christ Jesus and received Him as Lord over your life which is know as being born again. By being born again, your old life which you got by the will of your parents seized to exist as the life of God which you now have by the word, supplanted your old human life. What you now have is the Life of Christ ___The spirit Life. Glory to God.
In the realm of the spirit, what you speak is a law which is why your words must be filled with the word of God. You have been brought into a heavenly pantheon and you rule with God. Your words are backed with power as the scripture says, whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven. You make decrees and it becomes established, nothing is impossible for you.
You have the capacity and freedom to access heavenly treasures as a son of God. You have been raised unto a heavenly dignity making nothing hidden from you. You have access to a good life because as He is in heaven, so are you here on earth. You are not inferior, you are dignified.
The son has access to the Father; he is not a slave. He goes to the Father without an iota of guilt or the fear of condemnation for he knows, he is loved by his Father.
Do you believe in Jesus? Have your received Him? If yes, then this scripture is talking about you. You are a joint heir with Christ, a possessor of the heavens and the earth. Scripture says in 1 Corinthians 1:22-23 that “ All things are yours.” This is what it means to become a son of God.
You are not the one looking to be blessed, you are blessed. You are not the one looking for mercy, you have obtained mercy. You are not the one searching for love, you are loved by God. You are the begotten of the father, full of grace and truth. Hallelujah!
Christ in you, is the guarantee of glory as a son. You are never left alone, you are not an outsider but rather, you have come to Mount Zion, even to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless multitudes of angels in festal gathering, And to the church (assembly) of the Firstborn who are registered [as citizens] in heaven, and to the God Who is Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous (the redeemed in heaven) who have been made perfect, And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance]. [Gen. 4:10.]” Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing me into the place of sonship. It is a great privilege to be called your own haven been purchased by the blood of your Son, Jesus my Lord. I am eternally grateful for this honour bestowed on me to life your kind of life here on earth. Glory to God. Hallelujah!
