There was a story of a lady who wrote an exam and was certain she did so well and wasn’t expecting anything but the best result. Not long after the exams, the result was posted and when she looked it up on the board, she saw “F”. Suddenly, she screamed for joy and was dancing and giving praise to God. Others who were there were astonished and wanted to know why she was this joyful. They asked her, “what was your result? show us!” She pointed her result to them but to their great disappointment, they saw an “F.” They thought to themselves, could she be mentally ok? as there was no sane reason as to why she would be dancing in jubilation over an “F”.
In her response she said, “I see favour,” then she continued dancing and praising God. Not long from that day, the previously posted results was cancelled and a new one posted, which gave her the best score she would have ever imagined. Hallelujah!
Jesus didn’t promise us a life without tribulations, however He promised never to leave, nor forsake us. When we go through tribulations, we are to go through it with the word of God. We are to completely believe and have faith in His word. It is the word of God that builds a joyful confidence in us regardless of what we face.
The word of God creates in us the knowledge that tribulation, has not come to kill us rather, it’s working together for our good. By the word of God, we develop patient endurance, our character gets refined which then leads us back to Hope in the word of God. Praise God.
The life of God which you now have is a winning life; it can never be defeated. Let the devil bring his best shots, it will be of no effects to you, why? Because whatever he might throw at you, will only work in your favour by drawing you closer to Hope which does not bring shame. This hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because in the time of tribulation, you will experience the endless love of God cascading into your heart through the Holy Spirit who lives in you. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION:
I declare that in times of trouble, I have a joyful confidence in the Lord.
I declare, no matter the pressure I may experience, it will develop in me patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine my character, and my proven character will lead me back to hope.
I declare I experience daily, the endless love of God which cascades into my heart through the Holy Spirit who lives in me.
Praise God forevermore.
