Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
John 1:12 -13 NIV
We are not all God’s children, but we are all God’s creation. God’s children are those who are born again. To be born again, you must believe in Jesus and confess Him as Lord, and receive Him into your heart. So, until you are born again, you are just a creation probably possessed by a demon because, God’s spirit does not live in you.
Except a man be born again scripture says, he can’t see or comprehend the kingdom of God because, the kingdom of God is not in him.
There are three kinds of persons on earth:
- The natural
- The carnal
- The spiritual
- If you are not born again and the life of God has not entered into your spirit, you are a natural person. This is because you still operate by your five physical senses. The natural person allows his/her life to be governed by the five physical senses. In other words, it’s not real to this person if the five physical senses are not saying so.
- A carnal person is one who has been born again but fails to renew his/her mind. So even though he/she got born again, they still allow their lives to be governed by their five senses and not by the word and spirit of God
- A spiritual person is one who follows the dictates of the word and allows the spirit of God to govern his/her life. In other words, he/she is not moved by the five physical senses but by the word and by the spirit of God. Hallelujah.
With these explanations, you should be able to tell the kind of person you are. If you not a spiritual person, then you will have to be one because, it’s only the spiritual person that can receive the things of the spirit and see the kingdom of God. Don’t be carnally minded; for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded brings life and peace.
If you fall into the category of the natural person, you will need to be born again today. Don’t miss out on this opportunity as tomorrow might be too late as it is not guaranteed.
Say, “Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of God who died for my sins, and was raised for my justification and glorification. I confess you as Lord of my life and I receive your forgiveness for my sins. I receive You into my life, and I declare I believe in Your name to your praise and glory , Amen.
If you said that prayer and meant it with your heart, you are now a child of God. Now, connect with fellow believers or meet your pastor or leaders in church to receive further guidance. Praise God!

I am a child of God; born not of corruptible seed, but by the word of God. I am led by the spirit of God, I do not walk in darkness, in confusion, nor in fear. I’m a carrier of the God life; I refuse to be sick, to be poor, and I refuse to fail. The life of God in me energizes my spirit, my soul and my body in Jesus name, Amen.
