The life of a Christian is not an empty life; it’s a life backed up with spiritual and physical influence. Jesus speaking in our opening verse used the original word from the Greek, “exousia” which is translated in the King James Version as Power.
The word exousia means a sense of ability and privilege. It means a force, capacity, competency, freedom, or mastery over anything. It also means to be superhuman, to be potentate.
Authority is also delegated influence: – which means, you have authority from a higher authority to function in certain jurisdictions, and exercise liberty, power, right, and strength.
This is what Jesus meant when he said, “Behold! (see) I give you authority…” He meant he gave you all listed above.
Jesus wants you to see that you have the legal right to function in His authority without any fear. He gave it to you to wield at the enemy; over his powers and over his evil operations. This authority was given to you so you can live a victorious Christian life.
We are not ignorant of the devices of the devil. We know their agenda which is against the agendas of God’s will towards His children. In other to have the upper hand, Jesus gave you and I authority over the works of the evil one__the devil.
This authority was giving for you to use. Stop crying to God, use the authority: tread on serpents and scorpions; crush them, crush their activities in your live and over all your concerns. Rule over all the powers of the enemy.
Their powers will have no effect on you if you use your authority, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Hallelujah!
Today, crush sickness, crush lack, crush every lingering health condition, crush that bad result, crush depression, church anxiety, crush every voice that’s not God’s leading you to the wrong direction.
Reign over the enemy and his works.
Crush the enemies influence over governments of the world, over the church, over your job, your business, your relationship, family, and over your children.
You have the authority of God in the name of Jesus Christ, use it and be forever victorious.
CONFESSION:
In the name of Jesus, I tread on every serpent and scorpion in any disguise challenging my health, my finances, my marriage, my academics, or my job. I bring their powers to nothing. I take charge of my life by the authority of Jesus. Amen!
