And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

Knowledge in this context talks about spiritual understanding. It is the ability to be spiritually alert; to understand spiritual principles. This is given by the Holy Ghost.
It also means the ability to discern. This ability will save and preserve you from evil. It keeps you out of trouble and helps you to have precision in the execution of your work.
When Paul prayed for the Ephesians church, he prayed that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give them the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him. This knowledge is the spirit of wisdom also which brings revelation as we get to know the person of God through the scriptures.
This should be your prayers until you are able to function in this dimension of grace. These attributes are dimensions of grace added to your faith.
Your faith in God is a seed in your heart like I mentioned yesterday. But this seed would require supplements to aid its growth and productivity. One of the supplements I told us yesterday was virtue, which is good character. The other one is what we are talking about today which is knowledge; spiritual understanding. We will talk about the rest supplements in the days to come.
Endeavour to practice these supplements daily so that your profiting will be seen by all. Hallelujah!
PRAYER:
Father I thank you for your word and for your sufficient grace available to me. I declare I am full of virtue and knowledge. I exhibit good character and I function in spiritual understanding. These supplements are actively functional in my life in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
