After everyone was seated, Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, and gazing into the heavenly realm he gave thanks for the food. Then, in the presence of his disciples, he broke off pieces of bread and fish, and kept giving more to each disciple to give to the crowd. It was multiplying before their eyes!

The miracle of the feeding of five thousand people has lessons which if we imbibe, we will experience exact results.
What are these lessons? I’ll share three here today.
1. Not seeing the natural.
Jesus had ministered to over five thousand people. We know this because women and children were not counted in those days. So if they had included women and children, we might be counting up to ten thousand if not more.
These people were hungry after travelling from afar and spending hours listening to Jesus. Being touched by their present hungry and tired state, He was moved to feed them however, their only available food was five loaves of bread and two fishes. This was their natural reality. The disciples knew there was no way out as they were seeing the natural. Jesus on the other hand knew there was a way out as He wasn’t seeing the natural, but was seeing the supernatural.
The bible said, “Jesus“ lifted the food from the realm of the natural, into the supernatural. Hallelujah! He did that with a mindset.
2. The supernatural empowers the natural
The odds were high in the eyes of the disciples and those gathered around, but it was nothing before Jesus as He knew just what to do in such situation. He trusted the supernatural supply of the Father. He knew there was nothing created that wasn’t created by the father. He knew the creation of God had the potential to self-multiply if connected to the creator. So he lifted the five loaves and two fishes to the creator. Then he led us to the third lesson.
3. Thanksgiving
He gave thanks. Jesus didn’t raise a prayer request for all the congregation to join in prayers to God, asking for a miracle. He didn’t verbally ask the Father to multiply the bread and fish, He gave thanks. He gave thanks to the Father knowing that He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly over all we could ever think.
God knows your thoughts whenever you look at anything. He knows what you need at every given point in your life. When you feel that pain, He knows you need healing. Many have prayed for many years over one issue or the other without any change, while some got their miracle after many years. Now to them, that’s God’s design. No! I repeat, No!
God is not a man, neither is He limited by time, or distance. He is the “now God!”
He can meet your needs now if you know the right method to apply.
How long did it take God to multiply the food that fed the multitude?
The bread multiplied right before their eyes, immediately Jesus gave thanks to the Father. Praise God!
Thanksgiving is what connects the natural to the supernatural.
Today, give thanks with what you have in your hands if you desire multiplication. Give thanks for your body if you desire healing. Give thanks for all things. Your miracle can happen right before your eyes right now. Let your request be made known unto God, through thanksgiving. Phil 4:6
