The Greek word hupererentugkhano is best translated “super [or hyper]-intercede for us.”
We can only imagine how many blessings have poured into our lives because of the hyper-intercession of the Holy Spirit for us.
Have you ever received or experienced a miracle you never remembered praying for, or got healed over an illnesses suddenly? That’s the result of the hyper- intercession of the Holy Spirit for you.
There are times you become too weak and discouraged to pray in those times, God doesn’t judge or condemns you, rather, the Holy Spirit steps in on your behalf and rightly communicates what’s in your heart to the Father. That is one of the blessings of the Holy Spirit___ He helps us to pray. Hallelujah!
The Holy Spirit pleads on your behalf with emotional sighs too deep for words. Sighs here, talks about “groanings.” We find three groanings in this chapter.
Creation groans for the glorious freedom of God’s children (v. 22), we groan to
experience the fullness of our status as God’s children (v. 23), and the Holy Spirit
groans for our complete destiny to be fulfilled.
In verse 27, we read that “God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny.”
What this means is that, “God, the heart-searcher.” searches our hearts not just to uncover what is wrong in other to judge or condemn us, but to fulfill the true desire of our hearts to be fully his. This is grace, and grace triumphs over judgment. Glory to God.
It is the desire of God to see you fulfill your destiny here on earth that is why he made available to you the perfect stand by, and intercessor___ The Holy Spirit. Take advantage of His presence in your life and give God praise today.
PRAYER:
Thank you Holy Spirit for helping me to pray in times I lack strength and the right words to say.
You are my ability, my strength, my helper, my standby, my advocate, and intercessor. Glory be to God forever. Amen.
