“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
Philemon 1:6 KJV
To begin this article, I’d like to break down some specific words by giving their definitions.
The word used for communication in the Hebrew is koinōnia
(koy-nohn-ee’-ah) which is partnership, participation, communion, or fellowship.
The word used for Faith in the Hebrew is pistis (pis’-tis) which means: persuasion, that is, credence; moral conviction, truth itself: – assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.
And the last one, effectual: which is the Hebrew word energēs (en-er-gace’) meaning: active, operative: – effectual, powerful.
Putting them together, our opening verse is saying that the partnership, or fellowship of your persuasion, or conviction may become active, or operative by the acknowledging, the recognition of every good thing that is in or belongs to you in Christ Jesus. Wow!
You have good things in you. You are not void of good things, your life is filled with the glory of God. You are not under a curse but under the blessings of God. The reality is, you can never enjoy this goodness if you don’t recognize their existence in your life.
Apostle Paul while praying for Philemon as a result of his love and faith displayed to the Lord and to the saints, prayed that Philemon comes to the full knowledge of what God has given him, that he may partner, commune, fellowship with this truth thereby activating all he has in Christ Jesus.

- Recognize what is in you in Christ Jesus by studying the scriptures.
- See it as true
- Partner or fellowship with truth of God’s word.
This can be in all areas of your life. Maybe you are sick in your body, or don’t have money, or looking for a job or you want a child, there is an answer for you in the word of God. Go for the word of God, apply the three steps above and you will have your testimony. praise God!

I acknowledge that I have the blessings of God and believe it is true. Therefore I declare I’m blessed in my body, I have a blessed health, I live in prosperity and abundance, my life is full of the goodness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen!
